The Pastor’s Blog:

Fall Feasts … “Yeshua is the Reason for the Season!” As a Messianic Fellowship we acknowledge that the Brit Chadashah has encouraged us to Keep the Feasts with the understanding that their full meaning and purpose and goal is our Messiah, the King of Israel. May each one be wonderfully moved by Ruach HaKodesh to observe these divine appointments. As we congregate on each Sabbath at Columbia Bible College (2940 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, BC) we will focus on each feast in turn:

YOM TERUAH (FEAST OF TRUMPETS) … September 28th, 2:30 PM Pastor Murray will speak on the theme “Lift Up The Trumpet! He’s Coming Back!” and Merv and Merla Watson will be presenting a concert of music. After the concert we will enjoy a Bring ‘n Bless (Potluck) Kosher Food Buffet in our Fellowship Room.

MIDRASH (FALL FEASTS) … October 5th, 2:30 PM We will have a discussion on the meaning of the Fall Feasts and why believers participate in and rehearse these appointed times each year.

YOM KIPPUR (ATONEMENT) … Tuesday, October 8th, 7:30 PM We will meet at a local residence on Sumas Mountain to commemorate Yom Kippur. Please contact Pastor Murray at shabbatshelshalom@gmail.com for directions.

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES) … October 12th will feature a Sukkah in our service and we will encourage our congregants to celebrate this great Feast over the course of the next 8 days.

SIMCHAT TORAH (CELEBRATION of the WORD) … October 19th will be filled with dancing and festive praise and worship as we give thanks for the Word of God.
